Kengsington Square - Durban
Durban
09.04.2008
Kengsington Square is found in Broadway Durban North, it includes a library, rhythmic beat, clicks, a florist, many tasty restraunts, a spar and many more exciting shops. Kengsington Square caters to the young and old and has reasonable prices considering the competition around. The service is good and what stands out most to me is the little book shop owned by two old ladies. I like this shop as the ladies are sweet and they have alot of interesting books for cheap. You can take your books there in exchange to get other books too.
Harvey Wallbangers - Durban
Durban

Harvey Wallbangers is probably one place that would deserve an off-the-chart rating. Situated in the famous Broadway, Durban North area is Harvey Wallbangers. It is a bar for night times and is always packed to the max. At 22:00 there is still a long que outside of people waiting to get in but some do not succed. Alcohol all night and great music that can be heard from up the road, Harvey Wallbangers is a popular place for young adults as well as those in their mid thirties even forties. If you want some excitement for a birthday or just wanting to have some fun. Harvey Wallbangers is the place where you want to be.
Imaginations - Durban
bulwer 100, glenwood, Durban
07.04.2008
Imaginations is my favourite costume shop I have ever been to. Filled with a variety of costumes ranging from Puss in Boots to Witches and Princesses to Devils, this shop has it all. Imaginations also has accessories to meet the needs of your costume. Their are fairy wands and devil horns, there are witch’s pots and princes’ swords. The service here is spectacular and Imaginations is an amzing shop along with excellent service. Imaginations lets you hire out the costumes only but is very reasonable and the costumes and accessories meets all your imaginational needs.
Northside Christain Fellowship Church - Durban
Durban

Northside Christain Fellowship Church is home to one of the most looked forward to gigs in Durban. Wired. What used to be a yearly Battle of the Bands is now a monthly gig for the punk youth of Durban. Situated in La Lucia, Northside Christain Fellowship Church has agreed to let bands play monthly to give the youth somewhere to go where all rockers, emos, punks and metalheads can be together and have fu. Four bands play and an entrance fee of R20 is paid at the door. Food and drinks are available throughout the night and no alcohol is allowed. There is band merchandise sold and once the gig is over everyone goes home. After a wonderful night, on Sunday morning, many of the children return to go to church. Dragons - Durban

Out of all the chinese restraunts Ive been to this is the most magical one. I have never come across better chinese food and I have been to alot of chinses restraunts in Durban but nothing compares to this. I only eat the sweet and sour pork with noodles but it seems to get better and better each time. The spring rolls are also very divine. Prwn chips are sold on the side as well as little jellys, ice cream, fortune cookies and bow ties. If I could I’d walk out with the whole shop. Prices are good considering the fact that you are fully satisfied and happy. The service is exceptional and the shop is not only intimate but clean and welcoming. There is a couch for you to sit on while you wait and magazines and newspapers to read or if you are eating there, there are comfy tables and chair inside and benches outside with umbrella’s. If you want real good chinese food for your money’s worth then head on down to Dragons in Broadway Durban North.
Pavilion - Durban
Durban
02.04.2008
Some people don’t enjoy Gateway much as it is too big and for many tourists easy to get lost so some prefer Pavilion. Pavilion is small therefore all the shops are close together making it easier to find your way around. At the bottom level there is an amzing movie theatre with sweet shops, an arcade, skate park and putt-putt course. There are also a few surf shops around containing “legend” clothes and prices. Pavilion has many great restraunts that make you want to ocme back for more.Service is generally good and prices obviously competitive. Most teenagers enjoy coming here with their friends, it is safe enough for you to leave your children for a few hours as there are many security guards around and the police pop by now and again.

(aggiornata il 02.04.2008)
Kocamoya is one beauty salon that will never lose me as a customer. Hidden in Kengsington Square in this wonderful Durban North area is an intimate shop filled with many friendly staff members. Prices are unexpectedly reasonable as one gets their money worth. Sit and have a facial or just style your eyebrows and expect to have a lively converstaion at the same time. Kocamoya is one place I enjoy going for my monthly ‘royal treatment’.
Wavehouse Gateway - Durban

(aggiornata il 02.04.2008)
Ever wanted a place where you can go and ride some waves and skate? Ever wanted a place where you can chill and hang with your friends? The Wavehouse at Gateway is the place to be. There is a flow rider for pros and two little ones for the less experienced. There is a beautiful skate park with a newly added bungee-jump. I enjoy going here to laugh at people on the flow rider or to chill with my friends, here is where you will find people of all genres. Goths, emos, jocks as well as adults!! Gigs often happen here as it is a nice atmosphere. If there is one place I can be all the time, it would be here as not only do you hang out with old friends but this is the place that new friendships begin too. And for the cherry on the top, there is a little restaurant there too aswell as a place to sit and play playstation and a photo booth. What more can one ask for?
